I'm late!!

last night, went to the airport to send off a dear friend who will be working in Dubai. His flight was at 4am and we reached the airport at about 1am. Said our goodbyes, etc, got home at about 4am. At the airport, i had set the alarm on my mobile to wake me up at 630am (for work, etc). So as soon as i got home, i went straight to bed.

guess what, I woke up at 918am!!! did i rush? NO. ha ha! Called up my colleague and told him i'm going to be a bit late. showered, had breakfast, drove off and reached the office by 1015am.

later after work going to stop over at the fresh flower shop, to get some roses and etc for the hand bouquet and the sirih junjung...

Did i really cry?

1) When i was doing my Matriculation, my class and i did a pantomine (i hope i get that right, it's where the voices are all recorded, and we mime on stage... u know... ?...). I was the main 'actor'. My dearest friend (Ms QS) has been telling everyone how i sucked at it. LOL. (in a way, i do agree with her... heheh...)

2) During her wedding (solemnisation ceremony) in Johore, i had the photographer shot me posing as though i was crying as soon as the witnesses made the marriage official.

What has this two issues got in common?

I had just received a call from Ms QS, asking whether i was really crying in the picture. She called to make sure because her hubby and the photographer are saying that i was really crying. So what does that say?...

I CAN ACT! haha!

so it's official! I am funny and I can act! What else?!!? I need to include 'em in my resume!!! hahahaha!!!!!!!!! HAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHA!

p/s: it's fun to have a post on you, as you are one of the *counts* 3 people that i know who actually visits and reads my blog.

p/s/s: yes, the 3 people includes you CS.

p/s/s/s: and yes, the other 2 people knows about you too. *grin*

good nite!

Wonderful day...

1) My dear personal baker called and requested for a Sirih Junjung for this Saturday. The theme is Red. Red roses all the way!

2) My dear friend texted and requested for a hand bouquet for the groom's side reception this Saturday in Shah Alam. The newly wed will be wearing orange/peach. Not sure what color of the flowers should be, yet. [UPDATED] Choices are Red, Yellow-Orange, Purple. u think?

3) Another dear friend called to confirm on her hantaran decorations and the date of the wedding. All these while i thought its goin to be on the 22nd/23rd of Dec, but i was wrong! It's goin to be a week earlier!! so i guess tonight, Back to work!!!!!!!

4) Since that dear friend is getting married on the 15th/16th, so i can go to the other dearest friend's wedding reception (groom's side) in Kedah.

5) As i am typing, i am talking on the phone with my personal designer and have been reminded that my best friend's sister (technically my dear sis too...) is getting engaged on the 22nd of Dec. So, i am still not able to go to Kedah. Just great.

To sum things up, a lot can happen in a day. Hence, expect a lot of updates from me everyday. ha ha.

bahhh!

Intel MSC Annual Dinner 2007

As most of you have already know, Intel is shutting down the Cyberjaya site, which is where i am currently working. The annual dinner was scheduled on Nov 30, but was brought forward to Nov 14 because of something that can't be avoided. And so, everyone was rushing, had about 2-3 weeks to prepare. One of the organizers came to me and told me that everyone requested me to be the co-host for the event. I was kinda shocked. I've never done any hosting or emceeing before. After a few minutes of thinking (didn't take me that long... heheh), i said OK.

The dinner was held at this place called Putrajaya Lake Club in Putrajaya of course. By the Putrajaya lake. We had a very nice view of the Putra Mosque. Overall, it's a very nice venue. The theme was Pirates. So everyone actually took the effort to go and rent the costumes for the night. I wore something that i had in my closet, a white shirt that i got from my bangkok trip, a very loose pants that was designed and tailored by my personal designer (eusopth - silent e, t and h), black cloth as the belt and the head scarf, Quiksilver thongs bought in bali and a medieval sword that i bought for RM20 at Toys'r'us. Oh yeah, and a diamond earring that i have for my wedding accessories collection.

So on the evening before the event, we were allowed to go canoeing (i hope i spelled that right) around the lake. I can't as i had to do the rehearsals and etc. Watched them from far for a bit though.

The event started at about 7ish++, and it was raining. Most of us were wet as the place was only covered by canopy. But it suits the theme! The event started off with a short sketch, two pirates fighting on stage, and suddenly i come out as the Pirate CD/VCD/DVD seller. I didn't think people would actually laugh, but they did. So i guess i am a funny man after all. HAHA! After that, i went in and had a quick costume change and went out to join the rest for the buffet dinner.

The event went well. I handled the Coming of Age celebration (birthday) and sang Unforgettable and the birthday song for that session :D. then i handled the sexiest male and female and also the notorious male and female. They were based on votes that were collected earlier. I also handled one of the lucky draw sessions. And thats it... the rest were handled by the other two.

Not much performance, but we had open mic sessions where everyone are free to talk whatever they want. Most of them did thank you speeches, as this is afterall the final annual dinner of the office... it's really sad. really really sad to know that they are shutting down the office. but everyone managed to put on a high spirit and enjoyed themselves during the dinner.

I've been in this office for 1 year and 6 months. I have met new people. Experienced new things. Learned a lot on everything, about work, about life... These people in the office are my family. They made me see things that i couldn't. *sigh*

The Second day... of blogging...

*blank*

Tuesday, November 27, 2007

and when you thought your blogging period of the day has ended...

its already 530pm and i am still in the office! omg!

i have to settle this laptop installation. have to wait til its done. hopefully soon...

i have to send hangers to the laundry... sent my shirts (24 shirts, 2 pants to be exact) for ironing... but forgot to pass them the hangers... to hang the shirts....

owh no.. i hope that 'someone' not reading this post... if you are, let's not discuss this matter any further. thank you for your cooperation. :D

p/s: i do know where the iron and the iron board is, its just too heavy... :P

It's only been a day and i already have 4 posts...

right. so i guess i have many things to say. i always thought that when i have a blog, i wont know what to write and stuff.

maybe its the timing.

u think?

p/s: i think one of the factors of me opening this blog is because what i was asked during the interview last week. but, is blogging able to help me improve on my writing skills, besides chatting? haha.

Career path: Qualification or Passion?...

...that is the question...

I am currently stuck at this crossroad. Do i want to proceed with what ive been doing for the past 1 year ++ or do i want to do something new, that i have no qualifications whatsoever in the particular field.

I have actually made up my mind a month ago. I have decided to switch my career path, to be involved in events management. I thought that my future in IT can't go very far, as i am not very updated in IT knowledge. The pay will be quite low (than what im getting right now) and it is a contract work, but i the experience will be much more priceless.

But everything changed since last week. I went for a job interview. Similar to what i am currently doing, but far more interesting. New office, new environment, new company in malaysia actually. So i'll get to help out with the setup of the office etc, and the possibility of me blooming beautifully in the company is quite bright. And the pay will be good too.... i hope... and maybe i'll get to go to Australia someday. Heheheh.

AND today, they told me they want to hire me. GREAT, i thought. Another session of mind boggling, brain squeezing, brain storming bla bla bla. I hate using my brain. It's kinda rusty actually.

I know. I am fickle minded. I dont know what i want in life. I do know one thing, I want to be in Texas. Why, you may ask. But that is something that the people who are close to me may know. Ask them. Heheh.

So, should i go for the contract basis, low pay but will get a lot of experience in something that i am not qualified in job, or the high pay, high experience (in a different field), and bloom?

What's my future like? Again, it's blank. for now.

p/s: Can i just be a superstar and live like a rockstar? Is there anyone out there can help me out on this? Thanks!

My Second Post (ever)

Hahahah. Ok. Second post of the day. I just edited the template, the look and feel of the site. What you're seeing now is how much i can do for the time being. I think im goin to need alot more time to make it look better...

i am currently listening to my new CD. It has been a while since the last time i bought myself an original music CD. I normally just d/l songs from the net or just listen to the radio as i drive. I have once told a friend, when Faizal Tahir comes out with an album, i am so going to get it. I have been told that he launched his album last Thursday.

So i went to search for the album yesterday, went to every each pasar malam (night market) there is. Just kidding. Went to a couple of places, and after long hours (right...) of searching high and low, i found the album.

Aku. Muzik. Kamu. That's the title of the album. not bad la the cover. rockstar-ish. Paid 30 ringgit for it.

I straight away popped the CD into the CD player as soon as i got into my car. good intro, i told myself. then i started evaluating the album. im not really into this rock alternative whatever genre.. im more of a pop and ballad kind of guy.. but.. somehow.... as i listen to it, i slowly fell in love with each and every songs in the album.... catchy songs. and i am really relieved that i didnt waste my cash buying the album. now i just need to get it signed by the singer himself. heheheh. hopefully i get to meet him one of this days and let him know how his album rawks. o well.

i am not goin to tell you which songs to listen as they are all grade A++ (to me). get the album, and you'll know what im saying. GO GET THE ORIGINAL COPY NOW!!!! if you dont like it, you have the right not to listen to it anymore. hehehe. im not goin to offer any money back guarantee coz im not capable of offering such offers. get it? heheh. but seriously, get it. get it get it get it. and you wont regret it, you'll regret more not getting it.

Those were the days... Copyright Alif
oh yeah.. to those ppl who commented on how he over reacts on stage during the result of finalists for Juara Lagu, come on people. I have to agree. His reaction is a lil bit over, BUT That's him! That's his style! That's his identity! He's been doing that since OIAM. He's just being himself. So, as i am very sure that he respects all the things that had been said to him, i hope you guys can respect him too. Respect and accepting. That should be the way. Not condemning and trying make him fall. We should support each other in order to be successful in life. I help you, you help me, we be happy.

ok im done. NEXT!

My First Post (ever)

OMG. The weirdest thing had happened. I actually created a blogsite. This is very much against my principle. Next thing you know, I have a Facebook account! OMG! Let's not go that far...

Well. Let's see. I have no idea what to type. What actually drove me to open this blog? Could it be because i enjoy reading other people's blogs? or could I actually have so many things to talk about but I've been keeping them to myself?

To those of you who don't know me, I am Alif. I am an IT Support Engineer who doesn't know much about IT cum wedding planner cum loser. That's all you need to know about me, for now. You will get more info on me as you progress reading my blog. I hope.

And now, with the holy phrase Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I officiate the launching of this blogsite. Thanks!

p/s: expect a lot of grammatical errors. and spelling too. enjoy!
